Financial Literacy and Livelihood Trainer
Your Skills: Accounting, Business consulting / entrepreneurship, Curriculum Development, Economic development, Leadership & strategy, Teaching, Microfinance.
Role Overview:
As a Financial Literacy and Livelihood Trainer, you will deliver our 12-module curriculum for business literacy and entrepreneurship to at least 75% of enrolled participants in the Vocational Training Program with certification, incorporating the Young Africa Leadership Initiative – YALI Business and Financial Management Skills and merge it with our usual business and entrepreneurship training curriculum to make it more practical for our participants and also easy to relate to. You will also upport to design and deliver the workbooks for paricipants to be more effectively adaptable, and also contextualize and track easily.
Lastly, boost refugee women’s confidence and competence to run and manage small income-generating activities by training them in market research, expenditure planning, bookkeeping, savings, and other important financial and life skills such as decision-making, risk assessment, and plan-b thinking.

Fundraising and Grants Coordinator

Role overview:​
Grants and Fundraising Coordinator – Solidarity Eden Foundation (SEF)
The Grants and Fundraising Coordinator will play a key role in sustaining and expanding SEF’s trauma-informed, community-driven programs that support urban refugees in Kampala. This position is responsible for researching and identifying funding opportunities, developing high-quality grant proposals, and managing a pipeline of prospective and current donors, with a focus on foundations, NGOs, and institutional funders aligned with refugee rights, youth leadership, women’s empowerment, and education.

Working closely with SEF’s leadership and program teams, the Grants and Fundraising Officer will translate the impact of the SEF Refugee Resource Center and its programs: English Language Development, Vocational Training, Business Literacy & Entrepreneurship, Community Development, Creative Arts, and Cultural Exchange, into compelling narratives, budgets, and reports.
The role will also support individual giving and fundraising campaigns, maintain accurate records and reporting calendars, and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
Ultimately, this position helps ensure that refugees and women continue to access a safe, vibrant space where they are seen, supported, and empowered to rebuild their lives with dignity and resilience.
